Job Summary
Project Engineer for Quality Control Systems (QCS) supporting the delivery of projects in the pulp/paper and energy industries. Responsible for planning with the project manager, system initialization and configuration, leading FAT and on-site testing, coordinating on-site personnel, handling safety, managing change requests, ensuring timely commissioning and documentation, and delivering customer ROI. Requires hands-on experience with DCS/QCS, paper-mill processes, installation and commissioning, and strong communication to manage customer expectations and training.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering
- 2–3 years of experience in project engineering and execution (including logic development)
- Strong knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Quality Control Systems (QCS)
- Hands-on experience in pulp and paper processes, plant operations, and maintenance (installation, commissioning, FAT, control tuning, and system optimization)
- Familiarity with cross-directional and machine-directional control techniques
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel); BricsCAD a plus
- Strong English communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
- Valid driving license (car ownership is an advantage)
- Candidates must not require a work permit to work in Vietnam

- Must be based in Vietnam or able to work legally in Vietnam; travel as required; work permit not required to work in Vietnam
