Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive design, analysis, and construction document preparation for water, wastewater, and stormwater projects, including master planning, permitting, and technical writing. Independently perform design calculations, product research, and field observation site visits while responding to RFIs and resolving construction issues. Review final drawings and computations for accuracy, manage project task lists, and coordinate design requirements with other disciplines. Train and mentor Staff Engineers and Technicians on design elements and procedures. Maintain design documentation and serve as the firm's technical representative at client meetings and public hearings. Requires Ohio Professional Engineering license and 4+ years of utility infrastructure experience. Occasional travel and site visits required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
- Ohio Professional Engineering license, or ability to obtain within six months after employment
- Registered engineer with 4+ years diversified Utility Infrastructure experience (up to 1 year of graduate school can be considered as part of the years of relevant experience)
- Project experience with water, wastewater, storm water, green infrastructure, local municipal and public utilities
- Involvement in professional organizations such as WEF, AWWA, ASCE, etc.
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
- Close vision for computer and document review
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
- Consistent, reliable attendance and punctuality
Desired Qualifications
- Travel: Occasional day trips to project sites and client meetings
- Field Work: Occasional site assessment, field measurements, construction observation
