Job Summary
Monitor and execute Engineering Department and Plant safety programs while fulfilling Project Manager duties for Capital Authorities and Job Sheet requests. Advise on and design process improvements, assist with routine maintenance supervision and expenditures, and oversee engineering crews and outside contractors. This role provides manufacturing exposure for positions of greater responsibility within the Chicago-based USG team.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering
- Open to relocation
Desired Qualifications
- Prior full-time or co-op/intern experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office, Drafting etc.)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High level of organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks
- Must be a self-starter, detailed-oriented, and have the ability to work both independently and within a team to meet deadlines
