Project Engineer

Project Engineer monitors construction job sites to ensure work progresses as scheduled and that contract specifications are adhered to. Responsibilities include inspecting construction sites and coordinating with contractors to schedule deliveries, interpreting designs and drawings for crafts installing materials, researching and resolving drawing interpretation problems, preparing field design change requisitions and as-built drawings, preparing and disseminating documentation such as status reports and punch lists, verifying compliance with codes and drawings, attending meetings with contractors/clients/A/E representatives to coordinate design and construction, developing checklists for project closeout, coordinating quality control with the construction schedule, assisting Contracts Manager with scope gaps, creating and administering RFIs, setting up job-specific concrete logs, coordinating MEP start-up and coordination, creating scheduling sequences and logistics, understanding and complying with the company safety program, coordinating mock-ups/shop drawings/specifications changes, overseeing quantity take-offs and procurement logs, and tracking progress to ensure project schedule compliance.
