Job Summary
Lead engineering responsibilities include overseeing traffic signal design, signal timing, signing, striping, lighting and traffic control plans; supervising analysis and implementation of corridor studies, traffic impact studies, and alternative intersection design; providing input and guidance to CAD Designers/Drafters and lower-level Engineers; serving as lead engineer for a discipline on large-scale projects; contributing to QA/QC procedures within Parsons’ quality management framework. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, 10+ years in traffic/transportation engineering, and PE Registration; strong CAD (MicroStation/AutoCAD) and traffic engineering software knowledge (HCS, SIDRA, VISSIM) with familiarity in MUTCD and HCM methods; remote work flexibility with national-scale project delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 10+ years of progressive experience in traffic/transportation engineering
- PE Registration is required
- Experience with Design-Build, Design-Bid-Build, Progressive Design-Build
- Proficiency with Highway Capacity Manual (HCM), MUTCD, and Signal Warrant studies
- CAD proficiency (MicroStation or AutoCAD) and related software
- Knowledge of roadway lighting and ITS design preferred
