Job Summary
Coordinate project engineering activities by translating bid documents into purchase orders, subcontracts, and shop drawings while managing material procurement and monthly invoicing. Review construction plans to prepare take-offs, establish quantities, and manage document controls, then develop cost estimations, budgets, and change orders to maintain financial control. Assist project managers in coordination efforts, conduct frequent field visits to resolve issues and verify quantities, and utilize Microsoft Project or Primavera to track progress and report status. Collaborate with designers, contractors, and subcontractors to address technical challenges and ensure projects meet quality standards and client expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited University
- Proven experience in project engineering within the construction industry
- Experience understanding and reading FDOT construction plans
- Strong knowledge of project coordination, cost estimation, and change order management
- Familiarity with project scheduling software such as Microsoft Project and Primavera (P6)
- Engineering construction skills

- Proficiency with scheduling software
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering field
- Experience with Bluebeam
- Prior involvement in large-scale commercial or infrastructure construction projects
- Knowledge of sustainable construction practices, FDOT Standards and Specifications
- Strong communication and leadership skills demonstrated through previous project management roles
