Project Engineer, Structural Steel

Job Summary
Assist with project safety compliance, sequencing, and scheduling while tracking progress and analyzing production. Support job cost information distribution, project estimates, and cost reporting alongside material/equipment procurement. Manage change order requests and coordinate with general contractors/owners under supervision. Handle reporting requirements for field time, productivity, materials, and safety. Learn and comply with company standards and industry regulations. Requires a degree in Construction Science, Engineering, or related field, or four years of experience. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and construction software like Procore and Bluebeam is essential. Strong communication and analytical skills are required. Overtime and travel will be required.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
- at least four years of relevant construction experience
- Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, MS Project, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint
- Basic knowledge of construction software, such as Procore, Bluebeam, CMIC, etc.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety and quality
- Ability to adapt to different roles and requirements within the project lifecycle
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs
- occasionally lift or move up to 100 lbs
- accurate near and distant vision
- Overtime will be required
- Travel will be required
