Job Summary
Project Engineer responsible for leading structural steel project delivery from planning through fabrication and erection. Manages structural steel detailers, coordinates with Sales/Operations and project teams, develops submittal and shop release schedules, tracks RFI responses, reviews shop drawings and product data, and ensures conformance with contract documents and specifications. Interfaces with General Contractors and design teams, resolves design issues, and communicates changes impacting cost or schedule. Requires collaboration across project management, detailing, fabrication, and field teams, with a focus on schedule adherence, document control, and effective communication.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, Primavera, Blue Beam Studio, Adobe Workshop, Fabtrol, Fabtrol Pro
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Effective time management
- Basic drafting skills
- Solid understanding of construction & fabrication methods
- Good technical writing skills
- General scheduling skills
