Job Summary
Perform structural engineering computations using design software and codes to prepare documents, specifications, and project reports. Collaborate with senior engineers and project participants to resolve issues, attend meetings, and develop innovative solutions based on site constraints. Conduct hands-on fieldwork and apply engineering standards to ensure structures are safe and durable. Requires EIT certification or ability to obtain within one year, a valid driver's license, and familiarity with analysis software like STAAD.Pro. Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering with 0-4 years of relevant experience. Travel within the continental U.S. may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and/or master's degree in civil, with a focus in structural engineering from an accredited four-year university
- 0 - 4 years of relevant structural engineering
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification or ability to obtain within 1 year
- Valid US Driver's License
- Strong verbal/written communication skills and ability to collaborate with in-person and remote teams
- Ability to define problems, collect/interpret data, evaluate facts, draw valid conclusions, and effectively communicate findings/results
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks efficiency and effectively
- Familiarity with structural analysis and drafting software (i.e. STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, AutoCAD Civil 3D, etc.)
- Must meet Marine Solutions' Employment Eligibility Requirements
- Travel inside of the continental U.S. may be required
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred - experience in designing bridges, marine waterfronts, industrial structures, and temporary construction works, including demolition plans, erection plans, shoring, cofferdams, and concrete formwork
