Job Summary
Project Engineer in the Structural Department responsible for planning, design, and delivery of structural engineering projects for commercial, institutional, industrial, and residential buildings. Assist in the design and analysis of structural systems including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood. Prepare structural calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and related documentation. Coordinate structural designs with architectural, mechanical, electrical, and other disciplines. Participate in project meetings and collaborate with senior engineers and project managers. Support construction administration activities, including shop drawing review, RFIs, and field observations. Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, standards, and project requirements. Contribute to maintaining high-quality project delivery and client satisfaction. Engage in mentorship and professional development opportunities, progressively taking on greater project responsibility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- PE license in NJ
- 5 years of structural engineering experience in a consulting environment
- Working knowledge of building codes and structural analysis/design software
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
