Job Summary
Support the planning, design, and delivery of structural engineering projects for commercial, institutional, industrial, and residential buildings. Assist in the design and analysis of structural systems including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood. Prepare structural calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and related documentation. Coordinate structural designs with architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other disciplines. Participate in project meetings and collaborate with senior engineers and project managers. Support construction administration activities, including shop drawing review, RFIs, and field observations. Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, standards, and project requirements. Engage in mentorship and professional development opportunities, progressively taking on greater project responsibility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 5 years of structural engineering experience in a consulting environment
- PE license in NJ
- Working knowledge of building codes
- Working knowledge of structural analysis/design software
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Experience with Revit
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
