Job Summary
Conduct structural engineering input across planning, design, procurement, cost control, subcontractor management, and constructability reviews for construction projects in the water and wastewater industry. Manage schedules, develop scopes of work, and support subcontract agreements while driving quality outcomes and financial reporting. Collaborate with Construction Managers, Project Managers, Supervisors, and Subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient delivery aligned with legislative and community requirements. Apply strong technical capability and commercial awareness within Downer's Energy and Utilities Water business, adhering to the Zero Harm system and building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- An Engineering qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 3+ years' project engineering experience within the water and/or wastewater industry in SEQ
- Experience managing subcontractors, developing scopes of work and supporting subcontract agreements
- Demonstrated ability in financial management and reporting, including budgeting, cost reporting and forecasting
- The ability to develop and manage schedules while driving quality outcomes in project delivery
- Clear and concise communication skills, strong organisation and time management capability, and the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- A thorough approach, strong attention to detail and commitment to working within Downer's Zero Harm system
