Job Summary
Manage production costs by tracking quantities and materials while overseeing subcontractor scheduling, progress, and payments. Draft and manage RFIs and submittals, ensuring compliance with contract documents for change orders and time extensions. Maintain project schedules through 3-week and 90-day look-ahead planning and support as-built drawings. Coordinate daily resources with superintendents regarding people, equipment, and suppliers while adhering to OSHA safety standards. Requires 5-10 years of public works experience, a degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management, and proficiency in Excel. Driver's license required; prior LA County experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management with relevant work experience accepted in lieu of degree
- 5-10 years' experience working on public works projects with both field and office responsibilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to listen, engage, and influence
- Excel--Ability to navigate spreadsheets and utilize Excel as a tracking system
- A Driver's License in good standing
