Job Summary
Manage production costs by tracking quantities for operations and materials, while overseeing subcontractor progress and preparing estimates. Coordinate project schedules including 3-week and 90-day look-aheads, and assist with bid-build unit price and lump sum projects. Write and manage RFIs and submittals, document scope changes and delays, and maintain as-built drawings. Act as a liaison between project management and field employees to resolve conflicts and ensure timely completion. Assure compliance with MBE/WBE/DBE requirements and OSHA safety standards. Requires 5-10 years of public works experience, a driver's license, and strong Excel skills. Located in Southern California with a competitive ESOP and full health insurance coverage.
Required Qualifications
- 5-10 years' experience working on public works projects with both field and office responsibilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to listen, engage, and influence
- Excel--Ability to navigate spreadsheets and utilize Excel as a tracking system
- A Driver's License in good standing
- An understanding of Contract documents and associated requirements for; change orders, requests for compensation, and time extensions
- Experience with project schedules including 3 Week and/or 90 Day Look Ahead Schedules
- Experience on bid-build unit price and lump sum projects with an understanding of the measurement and payment requirements
- Understands and follows MBE/WBE/DBE requirements
- Assures compliance with Company safety policies and OSHA safety standards
