Job Summary
Track and maintain records for submittals, costs, deliveries, and payroll at the job site while managing safety communications, manuals, and records. Prepare weekly Toolbox Talks and daily safety huddles, maintain One Call Center files, and conduct periodic jobsite safety inspections. Perform daily quantity reviews with the Superintendent, enter data into the system, and track completion of work on project plans. Maintain correspondence, shop drawing, subcontractor, and delivery logs; accurately track asphalt and major materials versus paid quantities. Enter daily payroll information, track subcontractors, and submit logs monthly. Review project plans, specifications, and subcontractor submittals; assist in purchasing materials and developing look-ahead schedules. Submit monthly estimates and notify management of anticipated overruns. Weekend and nighttime work required.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in Engineering
- 2+ years of related experience
- Experience in Heavy Construction (site-work, roads or environmental)
- Must be capable of meeting deadlines
- Self-motivated
- Detail oriented
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent follow-through capability
- Weekend/Nighttime work as required by the project
- Verbal and written communication skills are essential to this position
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Able to accurately process written documents
- Perform duties in a timely manner
- Be highly organized
- Able to interface; communicate effectively with company, clients and field personnel at all levels
