Job Summary
Track and maintain records for submittals, costs, deliveries, and payroll at the job site while managing safety communications, manuals, and records. Prepare weekly toolbox talks, daily safety huddles, and maintain files for One Call Center requests, hazardous communication programs, and project safety manuals. Perform daily quantity reviews with superintendents, enter data into systems, and track completion of work on project plans. Maintain correspondence, shop drawing, subcontractor, and delivery logs while accurately tracking asphalt and major materials against paid quantities. Enter daily payroll information by specific task, track subcontractors, and submit logs monthly to payroll. Review project plans, specifications, and subcontractor submittal packages for accuracy, assist in purchasing materials, and develop look-ahead schedules. Submit monthly estimates and notify managers of anticipated overruns or underruns. Weekend and nighttime work as required by the project.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in Engineering
- 2+ years of related experience
- Experience in Heavy Construction (site-work, roads or environmental)
- Must be capable of meeting deadlines
- Self-motivated
- Detail oriented
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent follow-through capability
- Weekend/Nighttime work
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to accurately process written documents
- Ability to perform duties in a timely manner
