Job Summary
Lead the technical direction of internal and external engineering for large-scale renewable energy projects, coordinating cross-discipline inputs, third-party consultants, and contractors to ensure cohesive deliverables. Review design packages, track revisions throughout the project lifecycle, and perform quality control on budget, schedule, and scope while interpreting client needs and representing them in the field. Liaise with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to mitigate risks, ensure compliance with industry standards, and maintain accurate project documentation from design through final commissioning. Work remotely from Canada or our offices in Whitehorse or Cobourg with infrequent travel to project sites across Canada and Alaska.
Required Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registered in a Canadian jurisdiction with eligibility to register as a Professional Engineer in Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut OR as a Professional Engineer (PE) registered in a USA jurisdiction with eligibility to register in Alaska
- Minimum of 5 years professional experience work with power utilities, renewable projects, construction, or similar
- Strong understanding of electrical power systems, grid integration, and renewable energy technologies
- Familiarity with the Canadian Electrical Code, the National Electrical Code, and relevant renewable energy standards, codes, and regulations
- Attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Sound judgment in technical matters to solve complex electrical and technical problems and to make practical recommendations
- Demonstrated knowledge of industry best practice engineering standards used in the design, construction, and commissioning of construction projects
- Ability to work within cross-functional teams and independently
- Enthusiastic towards the environment, green energy, and the position

- Ability to travel to remote project sites when required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with AutoCAD is considered an asset
