Project Engineer - Site Works (Phoenix, AZ)

Job Summary
Conduct daily project support by reviewing plans, specifications, and contract documents while preparing RFIs, submittals, and change order documentation. Visit construction sites regularly to monitor progress, coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, and track production quantities against project schedules. Assist with scheduling, work planning, material deliveries, and budget tracking to ensure work complies with plans and regulatory standards. Support quality control documentation, safety inspections, and project closeout record-keeping. Maintain project files and progress reports while interpreting engineering drawings and earthwork calculations.
Required Qualifications
- basic understanding of project management

- critical path scheduling
- Degree or coursework in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field
- 2 plus Years Experience In related field
- Strong interest in civil construction, grading, earthwork, and site development
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and construction plans
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, and Teams
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license
- ability to travel to project sites
Desired Qualifications
- Internship, co-op, or field experience in construction or engineering
- Familiarity with Bluebeam, Procore, AutoCAD Civil 3D, AGTEK, HCSS, or Microsoft Project
- Basic understanding of surveying, grading, or earthwork operations
