Job Summary
Project Engineer role responsible for leading and guiding functional excellence in engineering solutions for Consumer Goods Industries, managing full project life cycle from pre-sales to site support, and delivering on-time, quality, and cost-effective outcomes. Requires independent work on HW/SW/HMI and third-party interfaces, potential travel within India or overseas for customer meetings, training, and site support. Key activities include organizing team tasks, providing leadership and development for the team, coordinating with Global partners and Programme Managers, delivering solutions, overseeing scope management with PMs, developing and implementing quality processes, supporting proposal estimation and delivery, ensuring compliance with SSB standards, and driving process improvements to optimize procurement and project delivery. Essential qualifications emphasize substantial experience in project delivery and commissioning, familiarity with RA products (Control Logix, PlantPAx, FTView, etc.), and hands-on experience with DCS/PLC/HMI/SCADA systems. Preferred qualifications include PlantPAx familiarity, IT platform awareness, and knowledge transfer within teams. The role offers a hybrid work policy requiring presence at Rockwell locations on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, with flexibility for business obligations outside the office, and highlights Rockwell Automation’s global impact and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in engineering project delivery
- Min 3-4 years of commissioning experience
- Exposure to Life Science / Food & Beverages/ Consumer Goods applications/ S88 standards/ Batch Process
- Experience with RA products such as Control Logix, FTView SE/ME, ACM or GCM tool, GEMS or Process Objects, VFDs
- Understanding of batch, line performance, LBSM, Sequence Manager
- Experience with Server Client architecture, Thin client and RDP
- Experience with at least one third-party DCS, PLC, HMI, SCADA systems
- Record of managing multiple and complex customer projects
- Major commissioning know-how experience
