Project Engineer (Senior / Staff) – Power & Automation

Job Summary
Lead complex engineering projects across power and automation systems, evaluating, designing, constructing, and optimizing facilities and automation; drive reliability and efficiency improvements; mentor engineers and technical staff; manage project scopes, timelines, and costs; perform design reviews, MOC, and system implementation; develop engineering standards and safety/compliance practices; prepare presentations for stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions aligned with business goals; support permitting, outage planning, and system troubleshooting; contribute to training and development of the engineering team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution or Bachelor’s degree in engineering technology with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
- 8+ years of relevant engineering experience for Senior Level; 15+ years for Staff Level
- Experience in natural gas, petrochemical, energy, or related industries
- Experience supporting industrial infrastructure, power systems, and automation environments
- Familiarity with automation and control environments (e.g., PLCs, monitoring systems)
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to and leading technical efforts
- Experience supporting maintenance programs, outage coordination, and operational systems
- Project management experience (preferred)
- Operational Power Plant experience (preferred)
- Pre-FEED/FEED/EPC project experience (preferred)
- Mentoring or leading engineers and technical staff
- Strong presentation and stakeholder-influence skills
- Safety and compliance focus
- Design reviews, MOC, and system implementation involvement
- Relocation eligible for duties in Tulsa/Houston
