Job Summary
Senior Project Engineer leads small-to-medium engineering projects within cost and quality constraints, overseeing bid/proposal content, WBS structure, dictionary, and cost estimation. Responsible for planning and directing engineering work, providing technical leadership to teams (5-10 members), and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery. Requires strong communication and writing skills, experience with earned value, CAM, and MS Project, and the ability to travel 10-20%. DoD security clearance (or eligibility) and U.S. nationality are required. The role includes developing engineering plans, monitoring performance measures, and contributing to monthly program reviews, with responsibilities across technical content of bids and proposals and coordination with subcontractors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering discipline, or equivalent work experience
- 6+ years of technical engineering experience with at least 1 year of technical leadership experience
- Technical leadership experience with 5-10 member teams
- Excellent oral presentations skills
- Able to travel 10%-20%
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Demonstrated planning and organization skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate issues, impacts, and corrective actions
- DoD Secret or higher security clearance or eligible to obtain one
- U.S. nationality requirements for security clearance
