Project Engineer-Self Perform Concrete

Job Summary
Coordinate concrete material delivery, storage, and management while tracking requirements across multiple job sites. Track and project material needs, travel between locations to verify quality and usage, and assist with subcontractor scheduling. Assemble shop drawings, deliver submittals for structural coordination meetings, and enforce the Shaw 1-2-3 Quality Control program through prephase meetings and inspections. Monitor crew production rates weekly, supervise foremen and labor crews, and maintain specifications, submittals, and As-Built drawings. Assist with RFIs, change pricing, labor/equipment planning, and detailed material takeoffs. Maintain a comprehensive tool and equipment inventory.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year college degree
- Minimum 2 years experience with a General Contractor, self-perform, or trade contractor background
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of general construction practices and techniques for concrete work
- Construction document reading
- Construction means, methods and materials
- Understanding of current building codes
- Knowledge of construction cost control
- Basic accounting procedures
- Computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite programs
- Strong management skills
- Leadership skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing
- Physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs
- Ability to use construction personnel hoists
