Job Summary

Manage engineering projects supporting welding, rigging, painting, and final assembly operations while planning, coordinating, and executing improvements to manufacturing processes. Lead new model launches by collaborating with Design and Production to ensure smooth transitions, and resolve production issues through root cause analysis and practical engineering solutions. Develop tooling, fixtures, and work instructions to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency, while monitoring metrics to drive continuous improvement. Work across Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Design teams to meet ABYC/USCG standards and project milestones.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering field preferred (equivalent experience considered)
  • 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, project engineering, or production support (marine or metal fabrication preferred)
  • Experience managing engineering or manufacturing improvement projects
  • Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments
  • Ability to walk the production floor and prototype areas regularly
  • Ability to inspect products, fixtures, and technical work in shop conditions as needed

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with ABYC/USCG standards and marine manufacturing practices is preferred
  • Proficiency with CAD software, Microsoft Office, and ERP/MRP systems is preferred
