Job Summary
Project Engineer responsible for high-level project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation for multiple concurrent projects. The role involves maintaining relationships with customers and vendors, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives, and utilizing SolidWorks for design. Other duties include industrial take-offs for material purchasing, risk assessments, and monitoring project progress. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering fields and at least five years of experience in the waterworks sector. Proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office is essential, along with strong knowledge of relevant standards and excellent communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a degree in a related discipline required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in within waterworks, piping, valves, or mechanical systems sector.
- Computer proficient, including Microsoft Office products.
- Proficient with SolidWorks.
- Strong knowledge of AWWA, ASME, ASTM, ISO, AWS standards and municipal specifications.
- Good communication, documentation, and leadership skills.
- Detail oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with the Water Treatment industry or SFWS company products/services
- Experience in budget management and resource planning
- Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- 6-10 years working within waterworks, piping, valves, or mechanical systems sector
