Job Summary
Project Engineer to support Operations/DoD engineering projects. Responsibilities include assisting in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, coordinating with cross-functional teams (design, procurement, construction), providing technical support in design, analysis, and implementation of engineering solutions, reviewing drawings and specifications, maintaining project documentation and reports, identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies, ensuring quality assurance and regulatory compliance, coordinating with vendors and suppliers for timely material delivery, and contributing to continuous improvement and adoption of new technologies. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline, US citizenship, 1+ years in project engineering or related roles, experience with AutoCAD/SolidWorks, knowledge of lean methodologies, familiarity with Primavera Scheduling, MS Project, and MS Dynamics, and strong communication and teamwork skills. Work environment involves exposure to construction/industrial areas requiring PPE. Based at The Navy Yard in Philadelphia, PA.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Engineering, Construction Technology, or other related discipline
- US Citizenship required
- 1+ years of experience in project engineering or related roles
- Experience with engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
- Knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience in projects in a specific industry (construction, oil and gas, aerospace)
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Understanding engineering principles, design standards, and industry regulations
- Proficiency with Primavera Scheduling, MS Project, and MS Dynamics is a plus
- Mature Customer Service and Client Communications skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point
