Job Summary
Project Engineer – Refrigeration on a site role in Cleveland, OH, responsible for the technical execution of engineered-to-order refrigeration projects. Duties include developing CAD drawings (2D/3D), P&IDs, BOMs, supporting electrical schematic and panel design, assisting PLC/HMI design, reviewing customer specifications, ensuring alignment with project scope, generating and reviewing test procedures and turnover packages, participating in equipment testing and validation, and interfacing with engineering, manufacturing, and leadership to ensure successful project execution. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience, experience with industrial refrigeration systems (ideally CO2-based), strong heat transfer and fluid flow understanding, proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Inventor, exposure to PLC/HMI design, and strong technical documentation and communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment; on-site work in a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience with industrial refrigeration systems, ideally CO2-based systems
- Strong understanding of heat transfer and fluid flow principles
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or Inventor
- Exposure to PLC systems and HMI design is a plus
- Strong technical documentation and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working in both office and manufacturing/shop floor environments
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of driving project execution
