Job Summary
Oversee contractor design and construction activities for a section of the MetroLink works, acting as the technical focal point for implementation. Review technical submissions, interface requirements, and equipment materials while facilitating the design process through managing RFIs, technical changes, and scope variations. Monitor progress against the programme, resolve complex challenges, and lead regular meetings on constructability, hazard, risk, safety, and maintainability reviews. Maintain records of managed activities and present contractor reports to senior management. Requires degree-level engineering qualification, Chartered Engineer status, and experience in underground rail projects.
Required Qualifications
- Degree level qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline
- Chartered Engineer status (or working towards chartership) or equivalent professional accreditation
- Proven track record in the design and/or construction of major infrastructure projects
- Strong background in underground works, including tunnelling, underground stations, structures, and/or rail projects
- Experienced in site surveys, inspections, and asset condition assessments
- Good knowledge of project controls, programme monitoring, and technical reporting
