Project Engineer - Quality

Job Summary
Drive strategic and short-term quality-focused projects to improve customer-experienced quality and plant performance; lead cross-functional teams, train associates on quality systems, and collaborate with suppliers and product development teams to deliver exceptional quality and reduce costs. Serve as the primary quality representative for new product development, ensuring manufacturability, process capability, and inspection and test requirements are met. Identify and resolve emerging field issues through cross-functional collaboration and communication. Implement cost savings initiatives and track their success. Utilize problem-solving methodologies to drive process improvements. Transition inspection processes to paperless reporting. Develop reports, make data-driven recommendations, and initiate corrective actions. Support the implementation and maintenance of quality systems and contribute to ISO certification through internal audits. Serve as a quality representative for new product development and continuous product improvement activities. Strong emphasis on continuous learning, leadership in cross-functional teams, and a customer-focused mindset.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (preferred)
- Minimum of 4 years of quality experience
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the MS Office Suite
- Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodology training (desired)
- Power App/Power BI development skills (desired)
- Project and/or program management experience (desired)
- Skills: Effective communication and relationship-building, problem-solving and decision-making, ability to lead cross-functional teams, customer-focused mindset, continuous learning and adaptability, ability to motivate and influence others
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving process improvements
- ISO internal audits experience or involvement in quality systems for product development and manufacturability
