Job Summary
Meet with engineering and field crews to review production schedules, confirm materials and resources, and provide technical input for project work plans. Evaluate daily production, schedule, and budget projections to track performance, update weekly schedules for reporting, and prepare three-week work plans that mitigate delays and cost impacts. Initiate and manage Requests for Information, remit accurate project quantities using cost coding, and coordinate subcontractor methods and crews. Review shop drawings, design specifications, certificates, permits, and Job Hazard Analyses to ensure compliance and safety. This role supports project financial accuracy and success within a construction environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- 5+ years construction engineering experience
- Able to delegate and assign work to engineering team to progress the project production forward
- Advanced knowledge of contract specifications and quality assurance practices
- Able to identify budget and project costs and recommend options to mitigate project delays
- Knowledge of financial reporting methods, quantity tracking methods and cost coding
- Knowledge of construction scheduling and production time management
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in resource monitoring techniques (i.e. cost accounting, basic estimating) and construction technology, process systems and/or structures preferred
- Specialized, technical knowledge of design build or other alternative build techniques
- Knowledge of construction scheduling and production time management preferred
