Job Summary
Prepare tenders and coordinate site activities to ensure efficient operations. Plan ahead to foresee problems, arrange work, and procure materials in advance to avoid schedule delays. Formulate methods to improve budgeted hours and due dates while ensuring the latest construction document revisions are used. Establish project schedules and attend site meetings to coordinate with superintendents, clients, consultants, and subcontractors. This role supports the Cape Breton Regional Hospital project at Lindsay Construction, a 60-year-old builder of Atlantic Canada communities.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of post-secondary education in a relevant discipline such as Engineering or Construction Management
- 1 - 2 years of related professional experience
- Excellent computer skills including AutoCAD & Microsoft programs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings
- Strong organizational, decision making, and time management skills
- Exceptional teamwork and interpersonal skills
