Job Summary
Project Engineer in plastics manufacturing responsible for managing full lifecycle of capital and process-improvement projects; coordinate with production, maintenance, quality, and external vendors to ensure successful execution. Develop project scope, timelines, budgets, and technical specifications; review technical drawings using 2D/3D CAD; ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements; support procurement and supplier coordination; develop SOPs and training documentation; participate in troubleshooting and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment (plastics, film, compounding, or similar industrial production)
- Experience managing engineering or capital projects within a production facility
- Experience working with electro-mechanical systems, equipment modifications, or system integration
- Experience reading and modifying technical drawings and layouts
- Proficiency with 2D and/or 3D CAD software
- Experience coordinating vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams
- Experience tracking project budgets, schedules, and deliverables
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools
