Job Summary
This senior Project Engineer position is responsible for planning and executing project management assignments worldwide, ensuring compliance with contracts, and maintaining project safety, quality, and profitability. Key responsibilities include monitoring project progress, preparing procedures, documenting communications, and identifying project issues. The role requires collaborating across project functions, supporting project plans and budgets, and assisting in developing project documentation and reports. Candidates should have strong technical expertise, be proactive in problem-solving, and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
Required Qualifications
- 4 year Bachelor's Degree required
- 10-15 years of experience in engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction/construction management (EPFC/CM) industry
- A minimum of one successful construction and/or commissioning completed field assignment
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to initiate and grow solid relationships with clients, vendors and suppliers
Desired Qualifications
- Detailed knowledge of Fluor’s software tools and databases preferred
- Certifications in project management suggested, for example Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Ability to set and maintain high standards of performance with responsibility and accountability
- Proactive in taking prompt and appropriate action to ensure objectives are accomplished
- Analytical approach to problem solving and identifying potential solutions
- Technical and business writing skills
- Able to conduct presentations in a manner which engages the audience
- Innovative and able to generate and consider alternative strategies
