Job Summary
Senior Project Engineer role focused on leading multi-discipline engineering teams within Kiewit’s OGC Energy district. Responsibilities include directing engineering teams, owning engineering execution to meet milestones and budgets, coordinating change management, establishing procedures aligned with contractual documents and quality plans, serving as engineering representative with customers and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to industry codes and standards, mentoring mid-level and senior engineers, and leveraging the project controls environment to manage progress and performance. Requires a Bachelor's in engineering, 10+ years in oil/gas/chemicals, and strong communications; PE license is desirable. Office-based with opportunities for flexible/hybrid work from the Houston Energy Corridor.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering in any discipline from a four-year college or university.
- Advanced degrees or certifications a plus.
- At least 10+ years’ related experience and/or training, specifically in the oil, gas, and chemical industry.
- Competent in the use of computer software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Sharepoint and Outlook.
- Working knowledge and understanding of project controls terminology and project scheduling processes.
- Professional Engineer License (desirable).
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives.
