Job Summary
Assist Project Managers in planning work schedules, determining manpower levels, and arranging project personnel assignments to ensure progress within prescribed timeframes and budgets. Advise on potential problems, work interferences, and schedule difficulties, then coordinate activities to resolve them as required. Compose and edit letters, memos, reports, and procedures while overseeing day-to-day administrative items. Prepare special reports, studies, and statistical analysis involving data research, development, and interpretation with little instruction. This entry-level role supports the commercial division's plumbing and mechanical projects in Cypress, CA, with occasional travel to designated sites.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, mechanical engineering or similar area of study
- 1+ year of prior experience within the construction industry
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- Must have sufficient visual acuity to read printed and digital documents
- Must be able to climb ladders, access and egress trenches and/or attic spaces and/or confined spaces
- Requires hearing ability to communicate in noisy environments
- Must be able to recognize alarms, signals, and verbal instructions
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed
- Ability to grasp, handle, and manipulate small objects
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing, permanent basis without the need for current or future visa sponsorship
Desired Qualifications
- high interest in mechanical contracting with a focus on plumbing and mechanical projects
- Proficiency in Excel and computer literacy
- Exposure to various construction-based software such as Bluebeam
- Experience with Revit, Navisworks and/or Autodesk Build / Procore
