Job Summary
Project Engineer 1 within JE Dunn’s Advanced Facilities Group supporting construction projects focused on Mission Critical, Advanced Industries, and Industrial & Manufacturing. Responsible for implementing and carrying out facets of the construction process including general construction management, punch lists, and self-perform work. On-site duties include monitoring crew size, self-perform hours, materials, quantity, and equipment; participating in QA/QC planning, safety and quality plans, and documentation; organizing meetings; preparing daily/weekly reports; producing procurement logs and tracking shop drawings; and supporting scheduling and close-out activities. The role emphasizes Lean practices, collaboration with trades, and applying fundamentals of construction management. Education required: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field (or equivalent relevant experience). Entry-level construction experience is expected, with willingness to travel and work non-traditional hours as project needs dictate.
