Job Summary
Project Engineer on a landmark arena construction project in Reno, NV. Support Project Managers and Superintendents with day-to-day construction activities, track progress and milestones, coordinate subcontractors, participate in meetings and distribute notes, manage RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings, maintain project records, review plans and contract documents, conduct jobsite walks, coordinate between field operations and office teams, assist with quality control, punch list, and closeout; assist procurement and scheduling, monitor schedules, forecast, and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors. Requires ability to read construction drawings, proficiency with MS Office, and experience with Procore/Bluebeam/Primavera P6 is a plus. Salary $70,000-$90,000 DOE with relocation assistance; ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to advance in commercial construction.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
- Internship, co-op, or professional experience in commercial construction preferred
- Strong interest in pursuing a long-term career in commercial construction
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, or similar software is a plus
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced construction professionals
