Job Summary
The Project Engineer is responsible for supporting the design and execution of building systems projects, performing engineering computations, assisting in establishing design concepts, and preparing plans that meet technical standards. Key responsibilities include reviewing shop drawings, selecting and sizing equipment, conducting project cost estimating, and collaborating with senior engineers and clients for accurate project delivery. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, two years of related experience, and strong communication and analytical skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or related engineering discipline required
- Effective communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical decision-making skills
- Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams
- Competency in performing engineering calculations and evaluating system sizing
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and design concepts
- Ability to prepare engineering plans, specifications, and technical documentation
- Two or more years of experience in building systems design or related engineering work
Desired Qualifications
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) designation preferred, or ability to obtain
