Job Summary
Project Engineer (Mechanical) to join DT Infrastructure on the Smoky Creek Solar Farm in Westwood, Queensland. You will plan, coordinate and administer mechanical construction activities, monitor project performance and productivity, coordinate subcontractors and technical stakeholders, assist with project reporting, forecasting, budgeting, claims and variation management, interpret engineering designs, and support compliance with project specifications and management systems. The role involves working with the Mechanical Package Manager and site teams to deliver mechanical construction works safely, on time and within budget, across a major renewable energy project. The position requires a Mechanical Engineering degree and at least 3 years’ experience in construction or infrastructure environments, with strong communication, planning and problem-solving skills, and a mindset focused on safety, quality and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering
- minimum of 3 years' experience in construction or infrastructure projects
- Previous Project Engineer or Site Engineer experience within construction, energy, resources or major projects environments
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project delivery and contractor management
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Well-developed planning, organisation and problem-solving skills
- A team-focused mindset with a commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
