Job Summary
Interpret design drawings for Superintendents and Foremen, coordinate with the Project Manager to resolve conflicts and errors, and perform drafting, digitizing, and quantity takeoffs. Maintain current drawing logs, administer FTP systems for drawing transfers, and track production to complete weekly reports. Prepare status reports, punch lists, and material calculations while verifying work compliance with codes and specifications. Lead project meetings in the Project Manager's absence, schedule equipment, and assist with budgeting, cost-to-complete projections, and change order documentation. Provide initial invoice approvals and prepare monthly billings. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field of study
- Minimum one-year experience in a Field Engineering or Project Engineering role with a Construction based organization
- Able to effectively organize numerous streams of information
- Ability manage multiple priorities
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Position may be subject to pre-employment screening, which may include background check and drug testing
Desired Qualifications
- Coal ash remediation / CCR experience strongly preferred
- Experience with job costing, scheduling and estimating contract changes preferred, but not required
- Experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Experience with Auto CAD Civil 3D or equivalent modeling software
- Experience with construction estimating and scheduling software preferred, but not required
- Minimum one-year experience in a Field Engineering or Project Engineering role with a Construction based organization is preferred
- A Co Op program in Civil Engineering, Project Management or Construction Management may be used to satisfy minimum level of experience
