Project Engineer

Job Summary
Interprets design drawings for field superintendents and resolves conflicts with project managers and site supervision. Performs drafting, quantity takeoffs, and mapping to support construction work, change orders, and estimates. Tracks production weekly, verifies completed work against codes and specifications, and prepares documentation including status reports, punch lists, and material calculations. Coordinates equipment and material scheduling, leads project meetings, and reviews project invoices for approval. Collaborates with the Project Manager on budgeting, cost-to-complete projections, monthly billings, and change order management. Requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering and one year of field engineering experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field of study
- Minimum one-year experience in a Field Engineering or Project Engineering role with a Construction based organization
- Position may be subject to pre-employment screening, which may include background check and drug testing
Desired Qualifications
- Coal ash remediation / CCR experience
- Experience with job costing, scheduling and estimating contract changes
- Experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Experience with Auto CAD Civil 3D or equivalent modeling software
- Experience with construction estimating and scheduling software
- Able to effectively organize numerous streams of information
- Ability manage multiple priorities
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Minimum one-year experience in a Field Engineering or Project Engineering role with a Construction based organization
