Job Summary
Seeking a skilled Project Engineer for marine and heavy civil construction projects. Role involves daily field coordination, compliance monitoring, and supporting documentation. Requires 5 years experience and a Bachelors in a relevant field.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Marine or Heavy Civil Construction projects
- Valid California driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Must possess or be eligible to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong understanding of construction documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress payments
- Knowledge of safety and quality compliance standards, including EM 385-1-1
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) projects
- Familiarity with EM 385-1-1 safety and hazard identification requirements
- Completion of EM 385-1-1 training for Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) or Quality Control (QC) Manager roles
- Experience in hydrographic and topographic surveying
- Exposure to estimating software such as HeavyBid
