Job Summary
Project Engineer at Mantis Innovation plans and delivers energy efficiency, utility, and infrastructure improvement projects for clients. Responsibilities include conducting site surveys and collecting technical and cost data, performing engineering evaluations of energy, water, utility, and infrastructure systems, preparing feasibility studies and technical assessments, developing project scopes, savings calculations, cost estimates, and technical inputs for proposals, producing engineering deliverables under a licensed Professional Engineer, managing project schedules and budgets, coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, and ensuring projects adhere to timelines and quality standards. Working conditions include a combination of office, remote, and field-based work with travel to client sites; minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 1-5 years of related experience, with preferred qualifications such as EIT or PE licensure and a background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field
- 1-5 years of experience supporting engineering, construction, energy, utility, infrastructure, or related technical projects
- Ability to support engineering analysis, project documentation, scheduling, cost tracking, and coordination activities
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- EIT certification or progress toward Professional Engineering (PE) licensure
