Project Engineer Jr.

Job Summary
Jr. Project Engineer leads engineering activities to understand, analyze, schedule, and release orders into Flowserve’s production process, providing logistical, technical, and operational support to the local site, customers, warranty, and global sister sites. Responsibilities include driving engineering activities, preparing and reviewing engineering data, performing engineering studies and calculations, coordinating cross-functional activities, collaborating with business units and GTEC Engineers to improve customer satisfaction and employee engagement, and maintaining strong collaboration with the project team. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or Engineering Technology, 3-5 years of related experience, proficiency with CAD and 3D modeling from 2D drawings, advanced mechanical design knowledge (fluid flow, mechanics of materials, drawing and machining practices), and strong English communication and MS Office skills. Preference for hands-on mechanical design experience, GD&T understanding, production drawings, and familiarity with industry standards; Lean certification or related experience is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or Engineering Technology
- 3-5 years of related experience
- Strong knowledge and use of CAD software with emphasis on 3D model creation from 2D drawings
- Demonstrated self-starter attitude with the ability for driving work to results and completion
- Academic knowledge of mechanical design principles including fluid flow, mechanics of material, drawing and machining practices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and proficiency with MS Office Suite software
- Demonstrated ability for attention to detail, meeting due dates, advanced organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
