Project Engineer (JOST Agriculture NA)

Job Summary
Lead and drive key projects within JOST Agriculture NA Inc. in a role focused on manufacturing support and product development. Develop and maintain routings, bills of materials, and production travelers in ERP; create cost estimates and project timelines; assist R&D with prototyping and product fit-ups, including travel as needed. Monitor ECN implementation and ensure timely delivery of targets. Analyze processes to identify modifications to improve efficiency, quality, and cost reduction; produce technical and quality documentation; supervise project team members. Travel 5-15% per year (domestically and internationally). Requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or equivalent seven+ years’ experience in metal fabrication/manufacturing) and strong skills in project management, 3D modeling (Solid Edge, Creo, Pro/E), ISO9001, OSHA, and cross-functional collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years' engineering experience in metal fabrication manufacturing environment or seven+ years salaried engineering experience without degree
- Experience with project management and cross-functional teams
- Proficiency with 3D modeling software (Solid Edge, Creo, Pro/E)
- Experience with SigmaNest or other plasma/laser nesting software
- Knowledge of ISO9001 requirements
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Ability to comprehend production processes and documentation
- Ability to travel 5-15% domestically and internationally
- Ability to create and maintain BOMs, routings, and ERP data
- Ability to supervise and review team members' work
- Quality and environmental policy adherence
- Health and safety awareness
- Ability to develop technical and logistical solutions for product development
- Able to work overtime as necessary
