Job Summary
Project Engineer responsible for project initiation and planning, vendor and subcontractor coordination, schedule management, and documentation control. Duties include expediting IFC drawings, issuing technical queries and deviations, defining subcontractor performance expectations, conducting weekly progress reviews, managing project cost (POs, VO, budget), NOIs/NCRs coordination with clients and third parties, material and procurement coordination, fabrication and resource planning, QA/QC compliance with IMS and relevant standards (ASME/API/ISO), and project close-out with lessons learned. Requires a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent) and 3-5 years in steel fabrication/project management; proficient in MS Office and project management tools; strong attention to detail, teamwork, and ability to multitask.
Required Qualifications
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in project management within the steel fabrication industry or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools
- Thorough knowledge of good engineering practices including manufacturing, fabrication, welding, machining, inspection and testing
- Knowledge of ASME, API, and ISO standards
- Experience with cost control, budgeting, and variation orders
- Experience coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and QA/QC
- Experience in procurement, expediting, and logistics coordination
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask under pressure
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
