Job Summary
Civil Engineer – Project Engineer IV/V to lead mid- to large-scale civil design and delivery. Lead civil engineering design from concept through construction, including grading, drainage, water and wastewater systems, stormwater management, and public infrastructure improvements. Develop deliverables such as engineering analyses, calculations, construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports. Provide technical oversight and mentorship for junior and mid-level staff. Serve as primary point of contact for clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and internal teams; manage schedules, budgets, contract scopes, and deliverables. Coordinate multi-disciplinary design activities (surveying, hydraulics/hydrology, transportation, utility coordination). Drive business development through proposals, scopes, and client presentations. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes and permitting requirements; implement quality control for documentation and recommendations. Requires a BSCE, Texas PE, and 8+ years (IV) or 12+ years (V) experience, with proficiency in Civil 3D, HEC-RAS/HEC-HMS, and Bluebeam; strong technical writing, leadership, and project-management skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (B.S.C.E.) from an ABET-accredited institution
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Texas (or ability to obtain through reciprocity)
- 8+ years of progressive civil engineering experience (Project Engineer IV) or 12+ years (Project Engineer V)
- Proficiency in Civil 3D, HEC-RAS/HEC-HMS, Bluebeam, and related engineering software
- Demonstrated experience in complex civil/site development and public infrastructure projects
