Job Summary
Facilitate permitting and city government coordination, coordinate submittals and shop drawings, and support field management with project scheduling and subcontractor coordination. Track RFIs and submittal documents, schedule project meetings, and assist in developing punch lists to ensure timely completion. Assist with project take-offs, bidding, and estimating from beginning to end, while interpreting blueprints, specifications, and inspection reports. Gather and monitor all project-related information, including quantity take-offs. This role involves frequent interaction with owners, consultants, and subcontractors to construct projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in construction management or another related field, or equivalent technical training and related experience
- Experience in ground up commercial construction
- Basic knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods, etc.) as well as an understanding of industry practices, processes and standards, and their impact on project activities
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Project/Word/Excel
- Must be a self-starter with a positive attitude and strong desire to learn who can adapt easily to a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to present information and communicate proactively and effectively, including written and verbal reports and business correspondence and math calculations (i.e. algebra and geometry)
- Must possess a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and access to a vehicle
