Job Summary

Lead engineering design and project management for plant improvement and capital projects, modifying existing processes and equipment while overseeing the installation of new systems to enhance performance and reliability. Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Controls teams to run trials, interpret results, and define requirements for new products and expansions. Develop equipment specifications and commissioning plans, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance while supporting production engineers and sustainability initiatives. Drive projects from concept to on-time completion, managing multiple workloads and training others on new processes. This role supports continuous improvement and new product innovation at Ingevity's Waynesboro, GA facility.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 2+ years of production and project related experience with automated processes for discreet manufacturing
  • Self-starter
  • hands-on experience with projects and drive them from imagination to implementation
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • effectively prioritize workload
  • be committed to continuous process improvement
  • Desire to start-up new equipment/processes and train others to ensure process run properly
  • Ability to successfully manage project and drive them to on-time completion
  • Excellent technical and engineering skills
  • written and verbal communication skills
  • including leading group meetings/projects
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Understanding of safety and environmental regulations
  • Travel up to 10% as needed for projects
