Job Summary
Project Engineer I/II on industrial construction projects. Responsibilities include organizing, reviewing, updating, maintaining, and posting construction documents/drawings; collaborating on RFIs; reviewing submittals for accuracy; preparing inspections, compliance audits, and the non-conformance log; managing material and equipment delivery status; maintaining project logs; drafting scopes of work for subcontracts/purchase orders; tracking subcontractor change requests and drafting change orders; using virtual design tools for project coordination; obtaining and managing closeout information, punch lists, as-built drawings, and assisting with warranty processes; travel and/or relocation to project assignments as needed; reports to the Project Manager and may supervise site personnel; Weitz Company emphasizes growth, development, and a diverse, inclusive culture.
Required Qualifications
- Industry related degree required
- Minimum of two (2) years of construction project management experience preferred
- LEAN principles desirable
- OSHA 30 preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
