Job Summary
Collaborate with clients daily to understand project requirements, develop scopes of work, schedules, and bid packages while supporting the purchasing team. Provide technical support and manage essential contract documents, including RFIs, addenda, and change orders, across multiple engineering disciplines. Identify and resolve design challenges, ensuring compliance with industry codes and safety regulations throughout installation, commissioning, and operation phases. Safely travel to industrial facilities for hands-on work involving elevated platforms. Maintain clear communication with project managers and stakeholders while managing small projects or leading larger initiatives. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, 5-10 years of experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical) from an ABET-accredited institution
- 5-10 years of experience in engineering and design, with a background in project management
- Ability to self-manage small projects, collaborate effectively within a team, or take the lead on larger initiatives
- Strong client interaction and relationship-building skills
- Experience in budgeting, cost management, and scheduling to meet project milestones
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, and project management software
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Engineering: 5 years (Required)
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in consulting and construction is a plus
- Familiarity with capital project development and the FEL process is highly desirable
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Virginia, or the ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity, is a plus
